Denis Parra participates in the Chile–Japan Academic Forum at Kyoto University

This week, researchers from several universities — including The University of Tokyo, Kyoto University, Osaka University, University of Chile, University of Concepción, and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile — gathered for the Chile–Japan Academic Forum, held at Kyoto University’s Uji Campus.
The event featured keynote talks on the first and last days, along with five thematic workshops. Denis Parra took part in Workshop 3, “Engineering & Science for Health”, which brought together researchers working on topics ranging from cellular mechanics, microRNA, and self-organizing systems to biomedical engineering, low-field medical imaging, generative models, and digital health.
The discussions were highly engaging and opened the door to potential collaborations. Denis expressed his enthusiasm for strengthening academic ties: “We hope these conversations will lead to concrete collaborations that benefit students and researchers in both Chile and Japan.”
